The Regent offers a variety of outings during the week for the residents. A typical weekly schedule is as follows (Please note there may be some changes to this schedule due to special events, holidays, etc):
Mondays: Grocery Shopping
Tuesday/Wednesdays: Convenience Store – Target, Wal-Mart, Dollar Tree, etc.
Thursdays: Van About Town Day – You decide within a 20 mile round trip
In addition, during the month additional special outings are scheduled, including plays, sporting events, special dining, church services, etc. Please watch your activities calendar for these events and sign up quickly, since they do have a tendency to fill up. We ask that you sign up for weekly and special outings in the activity sign up book located in the Mezzanine on second floor. Availability for outings is limited. Sign up is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Typical weekly scheduled events will occur even if only one resident is signed up for the outing. All special outings will require a minimum number of residents to sign up for that event to take place. Because the transportation expense and outing costs will vary per event, please see the sign-up sheet in the Mezzanine for the minimum number of attendees required. Also, please note that for the safety of the residents, if the temperature or wind chill drops below 0 degrees or the temperature or heat index is over 100 degrees, the outings planned for that day will be cancelled.
In addition, you can arrange for your own transportation by calling any of the transportation companies listed on the Transportation Resources page by clicking here or by contacting our Social Worker to discuss transportation options.
Augustana Regent complies with Title VI laws and regulations and you can review your rights under Title VI and related laws by clicking here.
