Memory Care at Augustana Regent's in Burnsville, MN uses a professional and focused approach when caring for those with cognitive challenges such as Alzheimer’s, Dementia and other memory issues that come with natural aging, accident, or illness. Designed like a neighborhood, each suite consists of 4 private suites, a central living room with a cozy fireplace, and home-style kitchen and a dining area. This intimate residential setting is planned to provide consistent support, security, and safety.
Monthly rental fee includes the following:
- Initial registered nurse assessment and supervisory visits
- A daily schedule of specialized and stimulating programming, correlating to a home care plan tailored to each resident's cognitive strengths
- Memory centered social, physical, spiritual, and recreational activities
- Staff trained in memory loss
- Licensed nursing staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with access to a RN 24 hours a day
- Personal care staff 24 hours a day with a ratio of 1 care provider to 5 residents
- Healthy care status change observations and scheduled safety checks
- 24-hour emergency call service
- Assistance with dressing, grooming, bathing, and personal assistance
- Medication management, set-up and administration
- Visual cues to orient residents to surroundings
- Daily light housekeeping and bed making
- 3 loads of laundry service weekly (personal and flat linens Bathing assistance twice weekly
- Escorts to and from daily activities
- All utilities, including basic cable
- Fire/smoke/carbon monoxide detectors and sprinkler system
