Scooter the Dog and Owner Jen Kollar
Most of us have a childhood memory of a cherished pet. Pets are an important part of our lives. They give us a friend, companion and sometimes a purpose. For the past five years, Scooter the Dog, an eight-year old miniature poodle has been everyone’s pet and friend at the Regent. Scooter and her owner, Jen Kollar, come twice a month to spend time with the residents, giving lots of love. Residents look forward to the visits and are ready with a scratch, a hug and a warm embrace. Jen says Scooter enjoys her visits just as much as the residents do, and maybe even has a couple of favorite friends at the Regent.

Your Support Will Make a Difference!
We are truly grateful to the many individuals and organizations supporting Augustana Regent at Burnsville during our first three years of operations. Our residents, their family members, and Regent staff have been blessed with so many caring people. We have had many staff, family members and volunteers devoting their time, talent and treasures to making a difference in our residents’ lives. Because people care, we have been able to provide those “special” things that the Regent is known for —our compassionate staff, quality programs, and an atmosphere that feels like home. Now that we are a nonprofit organization, we can actively participate in fundraising not only for operations but also for capital needs requested by the residents.
It is our hope that friends, family and residents of Augustana Regent at Burnsville will participate by joining us for our Holiday Tree Festival, volunteering your time or by making a contribution to the Regent. The funds raised from 2007 - 2008 Holiday Tree Festival were used for a special landscaping project which allows residents with physical challenges to get access to view the wild life in our pond. Funds raised this year will be used to offset transportation and to expand our spiritual care services.

- Driving bus for community outings & church
